Got Books? Got a Garage? Here Are Some Ideas.

With a lot of time inside during these uneasy times, I thought it would be a good time to share some books (and a video below on how to make your garage into a workout gym) I've gone through in the past few months that have been worthy of some reading opportunities for you all! If you have any good ones on your end, please let me know! Also a book I will be diving into soon is: Tattooist from Auschwitz by Heather Morris.

Book List:

  • Tennis Parent's Bible by Frank Giampaolo: As it suggests, a great book for those looking to seriously get their kids into tennis.

  • Boys In a Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown: Awesome true story of a college team on their quest to win the 1936 Olympics in Rowing.

  • Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies by Jared Diamond: Interesting read about how civilizations became dominate over others.

  • Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Success by Dava Sobel: Who would have thought figuring longitude was such a hard find and was a cause to many deaths of the early century sailors.

  • The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: An oldie but classic to remind of important elements that make for a successful life.

  • The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living by Ryan Holiday: Stoicism is a worthy topic to learn about mediation and self control.

  • The Upside of Irrationality: The Unexpected Benefits of Defying Logic by Dr. Dan Ariely: interesting read about how people's irrationality can be a good thing.

  • The Power of Moments: Why Certain Experiences Have Extraordinary Impact by Chip Heath: Great for those in leadership positions trying to make more meaningful moments for their employees or clients.

  • Pound the Stone: 7 Lessons to Develop Grit on the Path to Mastery by Joshua Medcalf: Great book to read and also give out to any kids looking for a way to learn life's lessons through a story.

  • Everything's F*cked: A Book About Hope by Mark Manson: Great book on philosophy and a way to look at life that makes things a bit more clear towards a path of happiness.

  • Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari: Want to know more about who we came from? This is a great read on the details of just that.

  • Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman: Great story that teaches the quest for spiritual awakening.

  • Teach Yourself Tennis by Ben Wolfe: My book on how to use a holistic method to teaching yourself tennis.
